Abstract

In this research, according to the opinions of the teachers; It was aimed to examine the effect of creative leadership behaviors of school administrators on teachers' innovative thinking tendency. Relational screening model was used in the research. In addition, it is seen that innovative thinking tendencies and creative leadership trait levels of school principals are above average. According to teachers' perceptions, while the perceptions of school principals' creative leadership characteristics did not change between men and women, a statistical difference emerged in their innovative thinking tendencies. Accordingly, women's perception of innovative thinking tendency was higher than men. On the other hand, it was revealed that the creative leadership characteristics scale and innovative thinking tendencies of school principals did not vary according to age, professional experience, innovation training, school level, married or single. There is a significant, moderate and positive relationship between the creative leadership characteristics of the teachers and school principals within the scope of the research and the general dimensions of their innovative thinking tendencies. Finally, according to teachers' perceptions, it is understood that the creative leadership characteristics of school principals significantly and positively predict teachers' perceptions of innovative thinking tendencies. In other words, a 100-unit increase in the creative leadership characteristics of school principals increases teachers' innovative thinking tendencies by 48.7%.
