Author Guidelines

JMEDUSCI – Submission Guidelines

1. General Principles

The Journal of Management and Educational Sciences (JMEDUSCI) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original scientific research in the fields of management and educational sciences.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must:

not have been previously published,
not be under consideration by another journal,
be prepared in accordance with the principles of scientific ethics,
and constitute original research.

All submitted articles undergo a double-blind peer review process following an initial editorial assessment.

2. Article Template

Articles must be prepared using the JMEDUSCI Article Template.

The page layout, heading structure, table format, font and section order specified in the template must not be altered.

Manuscripts not prepared in accordance with the template may be returned to the authors during the technical review stage.

3. Page Layout

Articles must be prepared as follows.

Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
A4 paper
Times New Roman
12 point
Single line spacing
6 pt spacing before and after paragraphs and 1 cm paragraph indentation
Justified
Page numbers must be included.

4. First Page

The first page of the article must contain the following information.

Title in Turkish
Title in English
Authors’ names
Affiliation details
ORCID numbers
Email addresses
Citation information
Date of submission
Date of acceptance
Publication date

These details will be updated by the editorial office prior to publication.

5. Abstract

The article must include:

Turkish Abstract
English Abstract

Both abstracts must be:

between 150 and 300 words in length.

The aim of the research,
method,
findings,
and conclusion
must be briefly stated.

6. Keywords

Keywords must be provided in both Turkish and English.

A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 keywords must be used.

7. Article Structure

Research articles must be prepared in the following order.

Introduction
Method
Findings
Discussion
Conclusions and Recommendations
References
Extended Abstract

The order of headings in the template must be maintained.

8. Tables and Figures

Tables should be placed in the relevant section of the text.
Figures should be included within the text.
The table title should appear at the top.
The figure caption should appear at the bottom.
All tables and figures must be numbered sequentially.

Images used must be high-resolution.

9. Citations and References

APA 6th Edition is used in JMEDUSCI.

In-text examples

Single author

(Karakaya, 2018)

Two authors

(Dağ and Karakaya, 2026)

Three or more authors

(Karakaya et al., 2023)

For studies with a DOI in the References, the DOI must be included.

10. Declarations

The following headings must appear before the References.

Contribution of Researchers
Conflict of Interest
Ethics Committee Approval
Funding

Where applicable

Participant Consent
Data Availability Statement

must also be included. An example of this section is provided in the template.

11. Extended Abstract

Each article must include an English Extended Abstract of approximately 600–1000 words.

The following subheadings must be used:

Introduction
Method
Findings
Discussion
Conclusions and Recommendations

The structure in the template must be retained.

12. Similarity

All submitted articles are screened using similarity detection software.

Studies involving plagiarism, fabrication of data, data manipulation, duplicate publication or ethical violations will not be considered for review. The researcher must obtain a similarity report using software such as İntihal.net or Turnitin.

Furthermore, a declaration regarding the use of artificial intelligence (at which stage) must be provided.

13. Ethical Principles

Ethics committee approval is mandatory for research involving human participants.

Details of the ethics committee must be stated at the end of the article.

14. Publication Fee

Article submission and the peer-review process are free of charge.

A publication service fee is charged only for articles that have successfully completed the peer-review process and have been accepted for publication.

For researchers in Turkey: 5,000 TL

For international researchers: 250 USD

15. Article Length

Research articles must be between 6,000–9,000 words, including:

references,
tables,
figures,
and appendices

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting your manuscript, please confirm that all of the following statements are true. All items must be checked before proceeding to the next step.

☐ This manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration by another journal.

☐ The manuscript has been prepared using the JMEDUSCI Article Template and complies with the Author Guidelines.

☐ The main manuscript file does not contain any information that could identify the author(s). Author details have been provided only in a separate Title Page.

☐ Turkish and English titles, abstracts, and keywords have been prepared completely.

☐ In-text citations and references follow the APA 6th Edition style.

☐ Tables, figures, graphs, and illustrations have been inserted appropriately and their sources have been cited where necessary.

☐ Ethics committee approval has been obtained where required, and the relevant ethics information is included in the manuscript.

☐ All sources of funding and any potential conflicts of interest have been fully disclosed.

☐ All required supplementary files (Title Page, Copyright Transfer Form, Author Contributions Statement, Conflict of Interest Declaration, Ethics Approval, etc.) have been uploaded.

☐ The authors accept full scientific and ethical responsibility for the submitted work.

☐ If the manuscript is accepted for publication following peer review, I agree to pay the publication fee in accordance with the current JMEDUSCI Publication Fee Policy.

Copyright Notice

By submitting a manuscript to JMEDUSCI, the author(s) confirm and agree that:

The submitted manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration by another journal.
The authors accept full responsibility for the scientific content, opinions, findings, and conclusions presented in the manuscript.
Upon acceptance for publication, the authors retain copyright of their work while granting JMEDUSCI the right of first publication. The published article will be distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License.
Following publication, authors may share their work on personal websites, institutional repositories, or academic networking platforms, provided that full bibliographic citation to the published version in JMEDUSCI is included.
The authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce any copyrighted material (including tables, figures, images, or other third-party content) used in the manuscript.
