The purpose of this study is to adapt the Scale of School Principals' Roles in Promoting Sports Activities into Turkish and to conduct validity and reliability studies. The research was conducted with 380 physical education teachers working across Turkey. The linguistic equivalence of the scale was ensured through the translation-back translation method and expert opinions. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were used in the analysis of the data, and reliability was tested using Cronbach's alpha, composite reliability (CR) and item-total correlations. The findings confirmed the four-dimensional structure of the scale (planning, management, implementation and encouragement/reward). Factor loadings ranged from .639 to .802, with a total variance explained of 58.65%. CFA fit indices (χ²/df = 1.11, RMSEA = 0.014, CFI = 0.98, TLI = 0.96) indicated that the model fit well. Consequently, the Turkish version of the scale was evaluated as a valid and reliable measurement tool. The study provides a comprehensive tool that can be used to measure the roles of school principals in planning, managing, implementing, and encouraging sporting activities.
