Examining the Relationship Between Teachers' Perceived School Climate and Individual Job Performance

This research aimed to examine whether the school climate has an effect on individual performance, according to teachers' opinions. Relational screening model was used in the research. According to the results of the research, individual job performance and school climate perception levels were above average. Additionally, perceptions of school climate and individual job performance differ between men and women; It has been revealed that it does not vary according to professional experience and educational status. However, the difference between the school climate and the arithmetic averages of the age groups is statistically significant, and it has been concluded that the school climate perception of the 31-40 age group and the 51 year old and above age group is higher than the 20-30 age group. There was no statistical difference between teachers' individual job performance perceptions and age groups. Again, it was revealed that teachers' perceptions of school climate and individual job performance varied according to their marital status, and it was determined that married teachers' perceptions of school climate and individual job performance were higher than those of single teachers. Finally, a significant, moderate and positive relationship was found between the general dimensions of the school climate and individual job performance of the teachers in the study. Additionally, according to the regression analysis results; It was found that teachers' school climate perceptions significantly predicted their individual job performance perceptions. In other words, a 100-unit increase in teachers' school climate dimension increases their individual job performance perceptions by 48.8%. According to these results; In order to increase student learning, teachers' individual performances must be at a high level. In this regard, it is recommended that administrators make the school climate suitable.
