Abstract

The aim of this project is to analyze the regional and global effects of the New Silk Road Project. Document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. As a result of the research; The New Silk Road Project, which has been on the agenda with many projects since 1991 to revitalize the Silk Road, which has been an important trade and transportation network between the West and the East for centuries, and which was put forward with the motto "Belt and Road Project" in 2013, has been one of Beijing's most important foreign policy goals since then. The Project, which is expected to become a new economic bridge between Asia and Europe, is a multifaceted strategic initiative with political, economic and cultural gains. Thanks to this project, which can be said to be one of the cornerstones of Beijing's multilateral foreign policy, especially in the 2000s, China aims to become a more effective power in countries where it was not active before. In addition, this project also supports China's recent policies against the US unipolar world system. The New Silk Road Project is considered as a rebellion against US hegemony and the unipolar world system.
