Abstract

In this research, according to the opinions of the teachers; It was aimed to examine the effect of school principals' leadership behaviors on parent participation. The researchers used the relational screening method. In addition, with parent participation, school principals' leadership behavior perception levels were above average. In this case, the leadership behavior of school principals and the level of parent participation perceived by the participants are quite high. On the other hand, school principals' leadership behaviors and perceptions of parent involvement differ between men and women; age groups; married and single; years of service; It does not vary depending on undergraduate and graduate degrees. Finally, there is a significant, low-level, positive relationship between the leadership behaviors of the teachers and school principals within the scope of the research and parent participation. In the regression analysis; It is understood that teachers' and school principals' perceptions of leadership behaviors significantly and positively predict their perceptions of parent involvement. In other words, a 100-unit increase in the leadership behavior dimension of school principals increases teachers' perceptions of parent involvement by 32%.
